The Riford Center is La Jolla's active adult center:
• A welcoming meeting place for learning, fitness, and social activities
• A central source of information on adult activities available across the La Jolla community
• A social network of adults with shared interests, to strengthen our sense of community

The Riford Center is more than a 'senior center' as it was known in the past. It is La Jolla's "active adult center," evolving to meet the very different needs of the baby boom generation.

Located just a few blocks from the Pacific Ocean, the Center has rooms surrounding an outdoor courtyard. It features meeting rooms, game areas, a computer learning center, a lounge with television and pool table, a library, counseling offices, and a kitchen.

The Center is open Monday through Thursday from 8 to 4, Friday from 9 to 1, and at other times as announced.
